In this project, I was asked to create a line of products and provide an unboxing experience. I shipped the package to my class and traded projects with other students to create an unboxing activity experience. I chose to do a line of bedtime implementations for kids. The line consists of melatonin, a teddy bear with a heating element inside, and an aromatherapy mist. Since my audience was catered towards kids and parents, I wanted to create a whimsical feeling that appealed to both.
One major lesson I learned through this project was the need to constantly be test printing, especially when designing something in 3D. Many of the projects I had done prior to this were strictly digital, so it was not as relevant to be printing to see how it translated. How something looks on screen and how it looks printed can be completely different. This is something I have implemented in every project since.
